During my time at Swinburne, the importance of networking was drilled into me constantly. Almost every interaction with a filmmaker including some form of self-plug from often both parties. Tired of the handshakes, social media swapping and somewhat insincere small talk, I decided it was time for a better, more inclusive networking tool.

Flickwrk was built as a rebuttal to the student/independant film industry’s exclusionary model of “who you know”.
